Duodenal atresia

• Failure of duodenal lumen to form during embryogenesis
• Vomiting soon after birth
• “Double-bubble” sign with NO distal air
• (will see distal air on partial duodenal obstruction eg. Duodenal stenosis, incomplete web, annular pancreas, malrotation)
• Seen in up to 1/3 of Down Syndrome
