Sclerosing cholangitis

• Inflammatory fibrous thickenings of bile duct walls
• "Beaded appearance"; elevated AP
• 10% develop cholangiocarcinoma
• Probably autoimmune
  • 60% have IBD (<5% of pt with IBD have SC)
  • 20% have pancreatitis
  • 10% have diabetes

Cholangitis
