Acrocyanosis

Bluish discoloration of palms, soles.
Most present at birth, may persist up to 48 h, exacerbated by cool temps.
Benign in a normal infant. Abnormal if persisting beyond 2 days.
Circumoral cyanosis may be normal 12-24 h p birth.  Abnormal if lasts > 24 h.
